When one of my very best friends texted me about doing her wedding cake, I wasn't quite sure what to think. The thought made me extremely nervous, but I had to do it. She meant the world to me.
It was such a gift to be able to make her wedding cake. What a sweet memory, and I will hold it dear for the rest of my life.
We met through our mutual love for Disney, the Lord, and literally everything else on a Disney Cruise that sailed through a category 4 hurricane - Hurricane Joaquin in September 2015. We bonded so closely, and through the years we have only grown closer. We've traveled together, ran a Disney 10k together, and made so many memories.
What an honor it was to make her wedding cake and also be a bridesmaid. It was absolutely the most perfect day, and I think about it so often.
She married the love of her life, Noah, on the top of a mountain in Boone, NC. It was so freezing cold, and we all hugged our hand warmers harder than we ever had to keep warm. It was such a memorable day, and I would totally do it over and over again, just for her.
Caylie and Noah have such a special love for the Disney movie "UP." It has been so special to their relationship, and there were so many sweet touches throughout their wedding day. Caylie made Carl & Ellie's chairs out of clay for their wedding cake topper. It was just so perfect. She and Noah both wore their Grape Soda pins, their guests got to sign their Adventure Book that was gifted to them at their engagement party, and they had their hand-painted mailbox out for display. Their wedding was stunning, magical, and absolutely THEM. Love you so much, Mr & Mrs Kohl.
